The Derbyshire junior U14 team of six won the Midlands 10 counties 36 hole scratch competition at the par 3 Broughton Heath Golf Club on Sept 1st. The 5 counting scores totalled 609 which was 15 strokes ahead of second placed Staffordshire. Two Derbyshire players tied for the first individual place on 114 - Josh Thorley of the home club and Bradley Moore of Kedleston Park. Josh taking the trophy on the second 18. The rest of the team comprised Chris Rippon, Mark Porter, Liam Ellis and Nathan Lee - each having at least one counting score
Nick Newbold has been selected to play for England U16 Boys v Scotland at Arbroath and v Ireland at Hunley Hall. Nick has also been selected for the EGU's England U18 squad whilst Josh Thorley and Bradley Moore join the EGU Regional squad along with Nick. Our congratulations go to them.
